Fall is always a popular time for Family Photos here in Birmingham, Alabama. Now that summer is coming to an end, kids are back in school, lots of families start planning ahead for some fall family photos. Many families like to schedule their family photos during the fall to make sure they have a great photo for their Christmas card!

Featured Family

This adorable family was photographed in the Chace Lake area of Hoover, Alabama. They dressed perfectly for their photos and came prepared to keep those sweet little girls engaged during the whole photo shoot. They did a great job and I love how their fall family photos turned out!

What to Wear??

This cutie pie was not really into standing on her own for a big part of the session, so we just went with it and got these cute shots of mom and dad taking turns carrying her. I even managed to catch a few smiles!

Keeping the Littles Happy

If you have littles in your family, here’s a few tips to keep them happy during your photo shoot…

-Bring a small treat to use as a reward. Keep this a secret and only use it if things start taking a turn for the worse. It’s amazing how such a tiny little reward can make such a big difference! Gummies or tic-tacs work great.

-Let them move! Your photographer will be able to capture true personalities if your kids have a few minutes in between posed shots to move around. Play a quick game of Red Light, Green Light or take a twirl break. These always make cute candid photos that add some personality to your gallery and keeps your kids happy at the same time!

-Bubbles for the win! When all else fails- pull out the bubbles. Works every time!
