Senior year is such an exciting season of life, and one of my favorite ways to celebrate it is with a senior photo session. If you’re a senior (or parent of a senior) looking to capture this time, here’s a little peek into what you can expect when you book your senior photos with me.
When to Schedule Photos
First of all, you can schedule your senior session any time during your senior year. While many people think about spring, I always recommend booking earlier if possible. Fall or winter are wonderful times for senior photos. Once spring arrives, life gets busy with prom, graduations and all of the senior year activities that pop up. Booking ahead ensures that you’ll have your photos ready to go without the stress of fitting them into an already packed schedule.
My senior sessions typically last up to an hour. You can choose one or two locations for your session, depending on the look you want. I have a whole list of beautiful spots around Birmingham and Hoover that work perfectly for senior portraits, and once you book, I’ll send over my recommendations so we can find a location that matches your style.
Outfit Changes
Most seniors like to bring 2 or 3 outfits so they can change things up throughout the sesssion. A lot of my seniors choose one dressy outfit, one more casual outfit, and then something that feels personal- like a college t shirt, sports jersey, or something that shows off a hobby. Of course, that’s just a suggestion. There are no rules- you can make your senior session completely your own!
After the Session
After your session, my turnaround time is two weeks. You’ll receive a full online gallery of beautifully edited digital images, delivered straight to you inbox. From there, you can download and share your images, and if you’d like to order prints, I make it easy to do right from your gallery. Your prints are shipped directly to your door, so the process is simple from start to finish.
I photograph seniors from all around Birmingham and the surrounding areas, including Hoover High School, Spain Park High School, and many others.
