For family photography in Birmingham, the best time of day for family photos is either early morning or late afternoon. Usually about two hours before sunset.

Early morning sessions are wonderful for families with young kids. The light is soft and the air is cooler. And popular Birmingham parks and locations are usually quieter. It’s also a great option during Alabama summers when afternoons can feel extra hot and humid.
