Celebrating milestones is always special! I love capturing them in a way that reflects your little one’s personality makes them even more memorable. Recently, I had the joy of photographing sweet Lenny for her first birthday in my Birmingham studio. With her gorgeous curls, big brown eyes, and adventurous spirit, she made the session so much fun from start to finish.
We kept things simple and bright with a clean white background. This really allowed her personality to shine. Lenny brought a few outfit changes, and each one highlighted a different side of her spunky, playful self. She toddled around the studio, exploring and discovering, and every moment felt genuine and full of life.
The highlight of the session, of course, was Lenny’s birthday cake! She brought her own, and digging into it at the end was pure joy. Sprinkles and icing ended up everywhere, and her delighted expressions as she tasted every bite were priceless. Cake smash sessions like this are such a fun and creative way to document any age birthday! It’s messy, it’s joyful, and it’s completely unique to your child.
