Some photo sessions are extra special, and this was definitely one of them! The Holloman family won their session through our local elementary schools silent auction, and I was so excited to capture these memories for them. I donated a photo session to the silent auction, and was SO excited they were the winners- what a great way to support our sweet school!
Not only was this session a chance to photograph a super cute family, but it was also a fun reunion. Their mom is a long time family friend, and we’ve known each other for years. It was so fun to reconnect, catch up, and see how much her sweet family has grown.
We met a Chace Lake Park in Hoover, Alabama- and let me tell you- it was the perfect spot! A gorgeous lake, a charming fence post (yes, I get excited about good fences!), and the dreamiest lighting made for a picture-perfect afternoon.
But the real stars of the show?? Their two adorable kids! They were full of personality, bringing all the fun and energy to their session. We walked, laughed and captured so many fun images- this is exactly what family photos should be.
I love when photography connects me with amazing families and supports a great cause. The Holloman family’s session was a reminder of why I love what I do- freezing time, making memories, and maybe even turning a simple fence post into the perfect backdrop.
