Fall Family Photos are just around the corner. Kids are back in school and it’s time to book your Family Photos! Fall is one of my favorite seasons for family photos. The weather is finally cooling off, you can break out your favorite boots, and the colors outside make the best background for your photos.
When to Book Your Fall Photos?
Now! As soon as possible! EVERYBODY wants updated fall photos for their Christmas Cards. My calendar fills up so quickly this time of year, so the sooner you can book your session, the better! Plus, the sooner you book, the more time you have to prepare and get those outfits all ready! Speaking of outfits…
What to Wear for you Fall Photos?
If you book a session with me, I will send you my Style Guide with lots of tips for dressing your family. What you choose to wear has a huge impact on how your final images turn out! But for now, here’s a few tips…
Neutral earth tones, pastels or jewel toned colors photograph best.
Stay away from busy patterns and matchy matchy outfits.
Layers with texture (Lace, chunky sweater, fur vest) add an extra dimension to your photos.
Ladies, long dresses are your best friend and look amazing on camera!
Best Time of Day for Photos?
Early morning or 2 hours before sunset. It’s best to avoid the middle of the day due to harsh lighting that can cause shadows. I always want my clients to look their best, and that means nice even lighting!
Best Location for Photos?
When you book a session with me, I will recommend some of my favorite locations. Birmingham, Alabama has some amazing backdrops for family photos!
